Plutôt que d'en faire un CD, ils choisissent de le diffuser gratuitement sur internet. En août 2004, le netlabel eDogm est mis en ligne, et propose "The Fissback Voyage" au téléchargement libre. Aujourd'hui Tlön 5 propose des concerts d'improvisation en duo, saxophone et piano, sans installations électroniques, sans répértoire, avec l'envie d'exprimer l'intensité du moment qui passe. diatribes: "Rencontre magnétique, désir d'une expression libre, interaction, l'intensité et fluctuation du niveau d'énergie, souffles, frémissements, crépitements, roulements, masses, fracas, chaos, entre free jazz et approche électroacoustique. Rage enfouie, sentiment quelque peu désabusé en regard d'une société dont l'avenir nous laisse dubitatif. Imprégnée du contexte urbain, la matière sonore se construit, se déforme, s'arrache de l'emprise de la raison, implose et redevient le rêve qui s'étale derrière nos paupières." diatribes, trio farouchement libertaire, voit le jour dans les sous-sols genevois en hiver 2004. L’idée était de mélanger trois sources de son distinctes (vent, percussion et électronique) pour développer une masse sonore malléable. Le saxophone et la batterie se confondent, avec le traitement de leur propre son, dans une danse primaire, brute, où construction et destruction coexistent, où envie et dégoût s’unissent. Aucune restriction n'est posée dans leur jeu, où rythmes, mélodies et bruits se côtoient sporadiquement, s'imbriquant jusqu'à se faire oublier. Free jazz dans la démarche, acoustique, électronique, le trio se veut capable d'explorer l'infime comme l'intense. Le partage avec le public est intime et profond. Les rêves et les peurs deviennent bruit et silence… Sur son assis de trio, diatribes se veut polymorphe, étirant son spectre en intégrant des musiciens comme le guitariste Christian Graf , l’électroacousticien Nicolas Sordet, le pianiste Johann Bourquenez ou le saxophoniste Christophe Berthet. *************************************************************************************************** tlön5: After a few gigs, Eric Pailhé (tenor saxophone, electronics) and Johann Bourquenez (piano, electronics) recorded in January 2004 their first Tlön 5 album, "The Fissback Voyage" and created a new personnal soundscape between free music and electronic music. Then, since August 2005, Tlön 5 began to look for saxophone and piano gigs, free forms and totally improvised concerts with no set list, no electronic stuff, to express the intensity of the moment that's happening. diatribes: "magnetic meeting, desire of a free expression, interaction, intensity and fluctuation of the energy level, breaths, quiverings, cracklings, bearings, masses, crash, chaos, between free jazz and electroacoustic approach. Hidden rage, somewhat disillusioned feeling in glance of a society whose future leaves us dubitative. Impregnated urban context, the sound matter builds, becomes deformed, tears off influence of the reason, implose and becomes again the dream which is spread out behind our eyelids " diatribes, a strongly libertarian trio, began its existence in a Geneva basement in Winter 2004. Their idea was to mix three distinct types of sound (electronic, wind and percussion), in order to develop a malleable musical mass. The saxophone and drums merge into each other in a primary dance, where construction and deconstruction coexist, and envy and disgust unite. There are no limits to their sound, where rhythms, melodies and noise meet sporadically, merging into each other until they are almost forgotten. Free jazz in its approach, acoustic and electronic in its execution, the trio is capable of exploring the minute like the intense. Their relationship with the public is intimate and profound.
